So why would anybody pay an attorney instead of paying a ticket? Or why would anybody hire an attorney to help them fight the ticket in the first place? – Well, people ask this all the time. People say well you know, an attorney is going to charge, depending on what it is, a hundred dollars, a hundred fifty dollars, maybe even more for a ticket, why would I do that?
Look at the Ticket
We’re going to look at the ticket and see if there’s a problem with the ticket to see if the ticket can just be dismissed. We can set the ticket for court and we can see if the officers going to show up and contest the ticket. And if the officer shows up, if the officer’s ability to prove up the ticket, so we can test it. I mean, wouldn’t you rather pay nothing on the ticket and then save some money because I assure you, if I’m charging you a hundred dollars on a ticket that’s $285 or $253 or whatever it is, and I can get it dismissed, you just saved a hundred and some dollars. But let’s say I can’t. Let’s say the officer comes, all the paperwork’s in order.
I can still negotiate with the magistrate or with the judge, potentially to lower your court cost. And almost certainly, the vast majority of cases to save the points. And if you don’t get points, it is unlikely that your insurance rates will go up. We don’t guarantee anything, but generally speaking, that’s a very accomplishable thing. And that’s something that you can do either if you are going to driving school which you are limited in your ability to do, or by hiring an attorney which you can do every single time you get a ticket.
If you come to me for your seventh ticket, I will accept your payment seven times. I will never say, hey you’re all out of time. So, you might want to hold the driving school in your back pocket for when things get really dicey. – For those rainy days, yeah, I got you. Call us at 813.421.3411.
