What happens if the other person that crashes into has no insurance? This happens a lot especially in Florida if the other person has no insurance there are different things that we can do. The biggest thing is the uninsured motorist. That means if the other person that crashes you have no insurance you’re an uninsured motorist. Your auto insurance policy will cover it. Now let’s say they did have insurance but not enough insurance, you’re uninsured motorist will cover because it’s underinsured or if they didn’t have insurance. But it all depends on what the policy is that you have when you purchase your policy for uninsured motorist.
So if the other person does not have insurance and you do not have an unassured motorist the third option is you can sue the person individually. But if they have no assets they’re not collectible it’s very difficult to collect the judgment on somebody that has no assets. Is it possible to cover the driver’s license? Yes, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it brings money into your pocket through your injuries and for recovery.
