Wrongful death. Wrongful death doesn’t just affect the person, that is deceased. It affects the family, the friends, the teacher and anybody that has affection for that person. Wrongful death statutes are different then other statutes and the time limit is completely different when you’re dealing with wrongful death. And it also depends on the entity that caused that wrongful death. The reason why it’s called wrongful death because that person died by the negligence of others. If a government entity created the wrongful death, that statue is limited in how much time you need to take, to bring a wrongful death action. If a private entity or corporation, that changes things. If a corporation, or does, they a lot of times they have higher policy limits which we could look into. If it’s an entity relating to the government, their limits are $200,000 and $300,000 of aggregate if there are multiple people, currently.
