Whenever you’re involved in a car accident, many people think it’s different than going to a regular doctor. I’ll give you an example. If you are sick, you go to your primary care physician and that person refers you to somebody else, a specialist to help you with that sickness, whatever that sickness may be, and that specialist may refer you to somebody else. That’s how that process works, but for whatever reason, when people are involved in auto accidents, they feel that they don’t need to go to specialists. But you’re still injured, you’re still having a problem, the difference is that now it’s not health-related, it’s accident-related, but yet it created health conditions and health issues.
So whenever you go see the doctor, the doctor may recommend for you to have an MRI, which is something that shows a diagnostic study of your spine or neck or whatever they choose to do the MRI of, could be wrist, could be joints, could be a lot of things, or of your head. And they also look at what other specialists could help you to make yourself, to help you feel better, in not just for the case purpose, but also really help you feel better.
I would not go to a chiropractic doctor if I’m having neurological issues. I may also go to a chiropractor, but I would also want to go see a neurologist. So, treat them like you’re going to a regular doctor and it’s going to work out better for you and better for your case. If you have any questions on this, feel free to give us a call, 813 421 3411.
