What is this annuloplasty? Annuloplasty is a procedure targeting that tear in the disc. It is a very common injury after car accidents, and not as much in degenerative disease of aging or anything like that in the spine. There is a tear of the fibers in these discs right here. That tear itself is painful. So the annuloplasty consists of, through a needle, it’s a big needle called cannula, but it’s still a needle, it’s not surgery.
We get to the disc and put a little probe, like a wire, around those fibers that are broken and we turn on a type of energy that is going to cause the fibers to coagulate. In other words, we reseal the tear. In addition to that, the little nerves that are very hyperactive there, they also get treated in a similar fashion to what they do with the radio frequency.
You get a sealing of that tear that occurred in the disc. This is a kind of exciting stuff. It’s almost like, have you ever seen, you have kids, I have kids, too. Like, Wolverine, have you ever seen, he heals and. It’s kind of like, it’s kind of like you’re creating, you’re putting the body in a state that it can heal itself and, as you said, regenerate and with the electric. That’s what we are looking for, we’re looking to heal without the need for more invasive approaches like surgery. So, all these are great alternatives to surgeries, is that a correct statement?
