So what happens if you are involved in a car accident, it’s not your fault, but you don’t have insurance, but you don’t have a car? What happens then? There are a couple of things.
One if you live in a household that somebody has a car and insurance you may be covered under a resident relative. Two, if you do not live in a household that someone has insurance or a car you may be covered by the person that crashed into, their auto insurance company may cover you for personal injury protection. Three, if none of those apply, you can still be covered under the other person’s policy if they have bodily injury coverage.
It won’t cover you for medical coverages as far as your personal injury protection but it will cover you for recovery for pain and suffering and then eventually it will pay back the medical expenses if you’ve incurred any.
