Right after an accident, there’s a lot of things going on. There are phone calls, there’s pain, there’s property damage. If it’s a car accident there’s a lot of things going on and it’s stressful. The insurance company on the other side, the at-fault party the person that caused the accident they are trying to punch holes in your story all day long because they don’t want to pay. So, it’s very important that if you have pain that you follow the course, you see the doctors you need to see. It’s important because they only know you, the insurance company only knows you what’s on paper.
If they see that you’re missing treatment they are going to discount how you feel. They know you have pain; you know you have pain, but they’re going to this town how you feel and say that you do not have pain, you didn’t treat. If you have back pain or neck pain or any type of pain down your spine it’s very important to get an MRI. It shows details of the disk and what’s causing the pain. If you have to see an orthopedic doctor or a surgeon or a neurosurgeon or something to that effect, you don’t necessarily need to have surgery unless it warrants it. But it’s very important to get the proper diagnosis and get the proper medical provider for your injury.
If you’re having excruciating migraines chiropractic doctors are fine but it’s very important to see somebody else maybe neurologist maybe as someone that focuses on traumatic brain injury there’s a lot of different doctors that see different symptoms. So, make sure you go into the right doctor for the right injuries at the right time. It’s very important because if we do not bring it up now, in this case, later on, the insurance company’s going to say it’s a pre-existing injury and they’re not gonna want to pay.
